Egle Jarkova
Eglė Jarkova, a Lithuanian-born violinist, has established herself as a sought after educator and distinguished performer on the international stage, including Carnegie Hall, Boston Symphony Hall, Beethoven Hall, Wiener Saal among others. A top prize winner in several national and international competitions, Ms. Jarkova holds the Queen Morta Premium Laureate title. Her teaching career spans across Italy, Lithuania, and Boston, where she has instructed violin, chamber music, and orchestral repertoire. Ms. Jarkova holds a full teaching private studio, and also serves on the Brookline Music School faculty as a violin teacher and String Department Chair, as well as a Director to Summer Chamber Music Festival. As the founder and artistic director of the International Summer Music Festival “Vivace Vilnius,” Ms. Jarkova has created a platform that attracts 300 students from over 20 countries, offering intensive master classes and free performances while introducing American music culture to Lithuanian audiences. Lithuanian born violinist Egle Jarkova is a top prize winner of several national and international competitions in Europe and United States of America, she holds the name of Queen Morta Premium Laureate in Lithuania, and is the winner of the Boston Conservatory Chamber Music and String Department Competitions.
Ms. Jarkova studied at the National M. K. Ciurlionis Art School in Vilnius and the United World College of the Adriatic (Italy) where she obtained International Baccalaureate Diploma and Diploma in Chamber Music from “Scuola Superiore Internazionale di Musica da Camera del Trio di Trieste”. She then completed her studies as Shelby Davis scholarship recipient at the Boston Conservatory, where she received her Bachelor in Violin in 2012, and Graduate Performance Diploma in 2014. Ms. Jarkova graduated with her masters from the Boston University, currently she teaches in Boston, and plays solo, chamber music and with various orchestras around.
Ms. Jarkova has performed in Europe and America, including countries such Albania, Austria, Croatia, Italy, Poland, Russia, Slovenia, Spain, Puerto Rico, and more; and concert venues such as Carnegie Hall, Beethoven Hall, Wiener Saal, Sala Tripkovich, and others. She participated in the Kodaly – Bartok World Youth Orchestra, International Frenkel Villa Festival, International Summer Academy Mozarteum, and was guest artist in International Music Festival “A Tempo”. Ms. Jarkova worked with V. Oistrakh, J. Silverstein, P. Frank, L. Chilingirian, D. Kim, M. Frischenschlager, A. Schnarch, Y. Berick, A. Cardenes, J. Fleezanis, among others. Her principal teachers include Bayla Keyes, Lynn Chang, Massimo Belli, and Ingrida Armonaite, respectively.
Most recently Ms. Jarkova debuted with the Albanian National TV and Radio Orchestra playing Brahms Violin Concerto, performed Piazzolla “Four Seasons of Buenos Aires” with Boston Conservatory String Orchestra, and Beethoven Triple Concerto with LAB Orchestra and Quincy Symphony Orchestra.
Ms. Jarkova is a founder of International Summer Music Festival and Masterclasses “Vivace Vilnius” in Lithuania, beginning in 2012.
